Stormind Games announces collaboration with Hangar 13 on Mafia: The Old Country
Stormind Games is proud to announce its collaboration with Hangar 13 and 2K on Mafia: The Old Country, the next installment in the acclaimed Mafia video game series, entirely set in Sicily.
The Sicilian studio played a key role in building a believable and historically accurate setting, providing its expertise in game development along with a deep understanding of the territory. The reconstruction of early 1900s Sicily was the result of an intense joint effort between Stormind Games and the Hangar 13 team, with the goal of delivering an authentic, immersive, and culturally grounded experience to players.
“Sicily is a land of culture and tradition, and we are incredibly proud to have been involved in this project,” said Antonio Cannata, CEO of Stormind Games. “Not only for our experience in game development, but also for the role we played in faithfully recreating a truly Sicilian atmosphere. We worked closely with Hangar 13 to depict early 20th-century Sicily as accurately as possible, ensuring every cultural and narrative reference was thoroughly researched. I’m confident that Mafia: The Old Country will portray the complexity and beauty of Sicily, sharing it with players all over the world.”
This partnership with Hangar 13 marks an important milestone for Stormind Games as it continues to grow its international presence and showcases the value of Italian creative talent in the global video game industry—capable of crafting environments that feel authentic not only visually, but also through sound and language.
