We like to keep the recruitment experience clear, effective, and straightforward. Here's what you can expect in the different stages of our selection process.

Candidates Pre-selection

After the job ad closing date, we start analyzing and selecting the most promising candidates. At this point, we may contact you to talk about the role and schedule an interview.

2.
Introductory Interviews

The interviews provide an excellent opportunity for a mutual introduction, allowing us to gain an understanding of the candidates’ aspirations, technical skills for the job, as well as to ascertain their personality in order to gauge how they would fit in with our team.

3.
Final Selection And Offer

If you’ve made it to this phase, you are among the front runners for the position. After reviewing the outcome of the various assessment stages, it’s time to make a choice and notify the selected candidate for the job.

Onboarding

Creative Director

We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic Creative Director to join a highly motivated team. 

As part of the job, you will be responsible to oversee the look and feel of a video game, make any high-level decisions for the overall vision of the product making sure the video game project looks fantastic in all aspects.

If you've got the experience and skills required and enjoy working with a focused group of talented and passionate game devs, then this is the place for you!

Role and Responsibilities

As Creative Director at Stormind Games, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Work closely with other core team members to develop their specific parts of the vision and unify your concepts to tie together all design, graphic, narrative, and technical elements. 
  • Communicate (and emphasize) the creative direction across the production floor to guide teams. 
  • Pitch the game vision to the upper management and partners, representing your team and the project to them. 
  • Validate the consistency and quality of the game and ensure creative alignment between branding, experience, and strategy.
  • Review and discuss production priorities, timelines, and scope with other directors.

Requirements and qualifications

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in the video game industry (or other relevant experience).
  • Knowledge of game development workflows in relation to capture. (Game build/debug functionality).
  • Experience working on PC and Console.
  • A solid understanding of the market & a (fiery) passion for video games.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Must be able to apply knowledge, experience, and learnings to real situations to help solve problems.
  • Organized, detail-oriented and friendly.
  • Ability to work well under pressure. 
  • Communication, leadership, and motivational skills.
  • A keen sense of what makes gameplay systems fun.
  • Ability to work well in a fluid, changing environment as creative challenges evolve.

  • Proficiency in Unreal Engine 4.
  • Familiarity with project management software (e.g. Jira, Confluence).
  • Experience in Action Adventure and/or Survival Horror.

PR & Community Manager

We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic PR & Community Manager to join a highly motivated team. 

As part of the job, you will be responsible for the community that grows around the game, attending events, writing newsletters, organizing social media, setting up live streams, and finding the best way to deal with criticism.

Role and Responsibilities

As PR & Community Manager at Stormind Games, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • In collaboration with the Brand Manager, you will determine the Community strategy of the game involving communication and participating in the schedule and the creation of online and offline events.
  • Create a plan for communicating the game to the fans, manage projects and analyze feedback.
  • Build and maintain a content calendar including but not limited to game posts, events, contests, and other community activations designed to foster, engage, inspire, and increase our community.
  • Create player-facing resources and content such as articles, blog posts, videos, and FAQs to help enhance and deepen the community gameplay experience.
  • Build a press contact network and manage PR opportunities (articles, interviews, announcements) to amplify the company’s media presence.
  • Write and send press releases to the company’s press contact network.
  • Build reports on community sentiment and other KPIs to reflect the health of our community.
  • Write copy for our websites, blogs, social media channels, maintaining the voice for our brand.
  • Inspire community conversation and moderation to ensure the discussions are safe and respectable places for our fans to participate in.
  • Build an identity and develop an active and engaged relationship with players in the fan base.
  • Develop programs to identify key influencers and leverage these community members to help evangelize our games.
  • Stay active in our owned channels daily to know how the community feels, understand community concerns, and communicate community status to internal teams and product leads.
  • Report on areas of concern for the community, surface trending topics/threads, and share/contextualize engagement metrics.
  • Establish KPIs and monitor and track toward them.

Requirements and qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of the English language (both verbal and written).
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in personnel and community management.
  • Extensive experience in social web outreach, proficiency with native social media platforms and analytics.
  • Outstanding communication skills, including solid verbal, written, and listening.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • A strong grasp of Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Strategic thinker with strong leadership, management, and communications skills.
  • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to work with other members across the organization.
  • Extremely detail-oriented and driven to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Able to make critical decisions under time constraints and a full workload.
  • Knowledge of the world of video games and fluency in the “video game language”, to communicate with gamers and people that work in the video game industry.

Talent Acquisition Manager

Role and Responsibilities

As Talent Acquisition Manager at Stormind Games, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Develop talent acquisition strategies and hiring plans.
  • Lead employment branding initiatives
  • Perform sourcing to fill open positions and anticipate future needs.
  • Plan and conduct recruitment and selection processes (interviews, screening calls, etc.).
  • Take steps to ensure positive candidate experience.
  • Assist in employee retention and development.
  • Organize and/or attend career fairs, assessment centers, or other events.
  • Use metrics to create reports and identify areas of improvement.

Requirements and qualifications

  • Proven experience as talent acquisition manager in the videogame industry.

Technical Director

We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic Technical Director to join a highly motivated team. 

As part of the job, you will be responsible for the entire programming department, taking responsibility for developing the skill set of the programming team to suit artistic and game design goals.

Role and Responsibilities

As Technical Director at Stormind Games, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Manage the programming process and identify the programming tasks.
  • Supervise and participate in all projects from staffing, technology/tools choices, risks evaluation, dependencies with other projects to ensure the best quality is achieved.
  • Take decisions and enforce best practices for coding and naming conventions.
  • Organize code review sessions.
  • Manage and monitor software architecture decisions in order to build an efficient, maintainable and extensible code base.
  • Organize the work of the team, create and assign tasks.
  • Create documentation and encourage the team to do the same.
  • Plan and evaluate the work performed by the team.
  • Work closely with department leads to identify and set technical restrictions and ensure the team adheres to them.
  • Take responsibility for recruitment, on-boarding, development, and professional training of the programming team.
  • Propose solutions to improve the development of projects in the studio.

Requirements and qualifications

  • 5+ years of leadership experience, in the games industry and preferably 2 years or more in a similar role.
  • Minimum 2 full project cycles of experience managing at a Technical Director capacity.
  • Technical and product judgment required to improve product quality as well as technical productivity.
  • Ability to identify risks early and often and suggest mitigation strategies that are thought through and consider multiple paths to a solution.
  • Strong proficiency in Unreal Engine 4.
  • Strong proficiency in C++ and object-oriented programming.
  • Strong familiarity with AI, animation, and gameplay code in general.
  • Experience with profiling and optimizations.
  • Experience working on PC and console.
  • Good foundation of 3D math concepts and algorithms.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Result-oriented mindset and “can-do” attitude.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to the situation.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.

  • Proficiency in Unreal Engine 4. 
  • Proficiency in C++ and object-oriented programming.
  • Good foundation of 3D math concepts and algorithms.
  • An aptitude for breaking down complex problems.
  • Competence in writing solid, reliable, and efficient code. BS (or higher) in Computer Science or a similar discipline (i.e., physics, math, EE, etc.).
