AI Programmer

We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic AI Programmer to join a highly motivated team. 

As part of the job, you will work in Unreal Engine 4 to bring our AI to life and solve challenging problems with pragmatic solutions.

Graphics Programmer

  • Developing and improving graphics technologies (rendering, lighting, shadows, shaders, post-processing) to help achieve state-of-the-art visuals

QA Engineer

We’re looking for a QA Engineer to join a highly motivated team. 

As part of the job, you will be responsible for the ongoing development of automated software testing infrastructures and assuring the correct operation of our build pipeline. 

Main duties will also include testing pre-release software on various platforms to ensure that game content matches our quality standards.

Role and Responsibilities

As a QA Engineer at Stormind Games, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Be involved in developing frameworks, tests, and tools to automate and help accelerate all aspects of product development, pipelines, tooling, and service monitoring
  • You will have the opportunity to define our testing practices and have the potential to take on leadership responsibilities in future
  • Implement tests and guide others in the development of tests by providing them with the right tools, frameworks, and infrastructure
  • Be proactive and have a strong focus on quality and risk throughout the delivery cycle, identifying and implementing automation approaches as required
  • Have a good understanding of a variety of test approaches 
  • Drive various initiatives, foster a positive and practical work ethic, and elicit buy-in from the wider team
  • Liaise with the product owner(s), technical leads, developers, and design teams to ensure the testing of new features runs smoothly
  • Drive synergy between QA, design, and gameplay teams

  • Commercial experience with Unreal Engine 4 (or a similar AAA Game engine)

Senior Lighting Artist

We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic Senior Lighting Artist to join a highly motivated team. 

As part of the job, you will be responsible for creating and implementing lighting for in-game environments, characters, and special effects. This includes designing and implementing lighting systems and effects that enhance the visual quality of the game, and creating and implementing lighting that supports the game's overall art direction. The role also includes working closely with other members of the development team, such as the art director and level designers, to ensure that the lighting enhances the overall game experience. Additionally, a Senior Lighting Artist may be responsible for mentoring and training junior lighting artists and staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques in the field.

  • Creation of static and dynamic lighting using Unreal Engine
  • Generate visually stunning creative solutions that are within memory and performance guidelines
  • Ownership of level lighting process from initial look dev to final polish pass

  • 4+ years of real-time lighting experience on pc or current console hardware

VFX Artist

Role and Responsibilities

As a VFX Artist at Stormind Games, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Envisioning and creating real-time visual effects that enhance gameplay and player immersion
  • Collaborating with artists, designers, and engineers to deliver visually impressive spells and abilities
  • Adding life and color to the game world through atmospherics, weather, and environmental effects
  • Technical implementation, integration, troubleshooting, and tracking of the performance of visual effects in Unreal Engine
  • Iterating on VFX assets based on feedback from the dev team

Requirements and qualifications

  • Knowledge of the PBS and experience to work with the Unreal shader graph and mastery of material domain and blend mode
  • Knowledge of Niagara and ability to create custom scratch pads to fit all the requests
  • Knowledge of blueprints and render target and know-how of where to use it
  • Ability to create sprite sheets, vertex animation textures, vector fields, and flow maps in Houdini and/or Maya
